Winter Hope
Every year, we see whole communities that do not have enough food during the winter. Parents give what they have to the children and suffer the pain of hunger themselves. The elderly, sick, disabled and unsupported struggle through as best they can. The Winter Hope project aims to help the most vulnerable in these communities as they face the harsh Romanian winter.
Gifts of Hope
The Gifts of Hope project began with a simple idea: Christmas shoeboxes filled with love. Our volunteers wrap each box in festive paper, preparing gifts for children from newborns to 18 years old. For many, this is the only present they receive all year. Maria, our project leader, often shares the story of a 17‑year‑old man who said the shoebox he received was the first gift of his life — Stories like his inspire us to keep going and to keep growing.
We distribute the boxes through churches, hospices, schools, and Children day centres, bringing a little extra joy to children at Christmas.
We also collect unwanted handbags and fill them with toiletries, hats, scarves, gloves, and other thoughtful items for widows. This ministry has grown beautifully, allowing us to bless every woman in the churches we support.
Summer Programme
Our Summer programme changes each year, with a new theme and fresh activities shaped around the needs of the community, but it always centres on sharing the love of Jesus in creative, age‑appropriate ways.
